2v1 to 4v3 Rush to 5v5 Low

Back to free drills

Coach chips puck low to start 2v1, as the Center waits higher in a back checking position and Right D waits at top of circle ready to jump into the rush. Play 2v1 low to whistle, then the next line starts up ice with Center back checking and Right D supporting to create a 4v3 rush. Everybody back checks hard and plays 5v5 low.

Key points

3 Wide Drive entry at the offensive blue line with D trailer. D jump up and try to come down middle ice, calling for a pass if open in the offensive zone. If defenders clear quickly, Coach can throw in a second puck.
