The protection of your personal data is of high importance to CoachVision GmbH. CoachVision GmbH is responsible for the personal data that you share with us. When we say “Hockey Coach Vision ”, we are referring to the CoachVision GmbH company.

We want you to understand how we protect your privacy when we obtain personal data from you, how we use your data, what your rights are in this respect and how we safeguard it while you use our services and products, visit our website or use their functionalities. For this reason, we are providing you with this Privacy Policy which we kindly ask you to read before you engage with our services and products.

We comply with all legal requirements when we collect and process your personal data. Below you can find detailed information about the scope and purpose of collecting data.

Use of the Hockey Coach Vision website and Hockey Coach Vision – App means you consent to this privacy statement and you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy and understand that any personal data you provide to us is supplied at your own free will and shall be used in accordance with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Principle of anonymous data use

In principle, the Hockey Coach Vision website can be used without providing personal data, while our Apps require registration.

When you access our website, some information, such as IP address, is transferred. You are also providing information about the terminal device used (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc.), the browser used (Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.), time of visit to the website, the so-called referrer and quantity of data transferred.

We cannot use these data to identify an individual user. We only use this information to determine how attractive our offer is and to improve its performance or content, if necessary, and make its design even more appealing to you.

However, in the case of a static IP address, personal identification is possible by RIPE query in individual cases, although we do not perform this.

Nevertheless, the Hockey Coach Vision website is accessible for both static and dynamic IP addresses assigned.

3. Personal data

“Personal data” means any information or pieces of information that could identify you either directly (e.g. your name) or indirectly (e.g. through pseudonymized data such as a unique ID number). This means that personal data includes for example things like email usernames, place of origin, user profile. It could also include unique numerical identifiers like your computer’s IP address or your mobile device’s MAC address, as well as cookies.

The categories and volume of personal data that we collect vary depending on: i) the activities you choose to undertake in relation to the services we provide you and ii) our purposes for processing.

4. Collecting and processing personal data

Personal data is collected by us if you supply it to us. For example, when you contact us, in particular by registering for a Hockey Coach Vision account, placing an order for a subscription or a drill package, requesting information from us, or publishing personal data in the Hockey Coach Vision app in your profile.

By law, we must have a lawful reason for processing your personal data. The data we collect about you will only be used for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, to perform our contractual obligation towards you, to comply with our legal obligations and to protect our legitimate interests in specific circumstances.

5. Registration of your Hockey Coach Vision account

When buying a subscription for a Coach account or registering for a free Player account, we collect some information from you. Providing this information allows you to use our Apps.

We require the following data for registration of the HCV-Coach account on our website:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • E-mail address
  • Address
  • Phone number

We require the following data for registration of the HCV-Player or HCV-Coach-limited account:

  • E-mail address
  • Password

We may ask for additional data when registering for our Newsletter on our website or on landing pages for our Portal products, such as:

  • Club name
  • Country
  • Coaching League
  • Coaching Level

You must acknowledge, and in the case of the Coach subscription explicitly accept, our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions when registering and/or using our apps.

We also reserve the right to ban your profile in case of any violations of our Terms & Conditions.

6. In-App purchases

When purchasing a subscription as an In-App purchase, we take the right to automatically sign you up for our Hockey Coach Vision – Newsletter, because we need to be able to send you onboarding instructions. You have always the right to unsubscribe from our Newsletter in the footer of each Newsletter that you’ll receive.

7. What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To improve our website and app (We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
  • To improve customer service (Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
  • To process transactions (Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.)
  • To send periodic emails (The email address you provide may be used to send you information, newsletter, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.)
  • To tailor our advertising efforts to best suit your interests

8. Data collection, processing, and use within the Hockey Coach Vision ecosystem

8.0 Access Rights

We need these access options and information to ensure the technical functioning of our App and provision of the services offered with the App, in particular, to be able to access your camera or your photos. During the installation procedure or before you use the App for the first time, we request permission to access individual functions and information. We only access these functions if you give us your approval. You can manually revoke the access rights in the settings for each operating system. You can find out how this works in the manufacturer’s instructions for your OS. However, please note that you can use the App only to a limited extent or you cannot use it at all without the relevant approval.

Before you use the App for the first time, we will request the following rights for the purpose described below:

  • Camera – Using your camera you can create video files for HCV
  • Photo library – Using your photo library you can create picture files for HCV
  • Photo library Addition – Using your photo library you can add a picture for your club logo
  • Push messages – A variety of notifications
  • Mobile data/WLAN – Use of internet and downloading of content
  • Microphone usage – Using your microphone you can add audio notes in HCV
  • Media Library – Using your media library you can create video files for HCV

8.1 Contact Form

Feel free to always contact us by e-mail or by our online contact form on the Hockey Coach Vision website. Obviously, we will use the personal data provided to us in this way only for the purpose for which you make them available to us when you contact us.

If we request entries in our contact form which are not required for establishing contact, we have marked them as optional.

We use this data to specify your query and to handle your issues more effectively. Providing these data is expressly voluntary and with your consent. If the data in question refers to communications channels (for example, e-mail address), you also give consent for us to contact you or resolve your issue through these communications channels.

8.2 Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website, if you want to receive regular news updates or information from us about selected topics and products. We need your valid email address for the subscription.

By registering for a Hockey Coach Vision – Coach account, you automatically subscribe to our newsletter list and give us permission to send you newsletters to the e-mail address provided.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter list at any time and revoke your given consent for the future. To do this, please click the relevant button in the newsletter you received.

8.3 Cookies

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow it) that enables the sites or service provider systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to help us remember that you’ve visited our website, logged into the HCV Portal or the HCV app, understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. If you want to prevent cookies from being saved, you can select the “Accept no cookies” option in your browser settings. To find out exactly how this works, you can consult the instructions of your browser manufacturer. You can delete the cookies, which have already been saved on your PC at any time. We would like to note that our website service can only be used to a limited extent without cookies.

8.4 Pixels

A tracking pixel (also called 1×1 pixel or pixel tag) is a graphic with dimensions of 1×1 pixels that is loaded when a user visits a website or opens an email, and is used to track certain user activities.

Every time you open our website, we record how often it is visited and clicked on by using tags on our website, so-called tracking pixels, likewise without any interference and intervention for your device.

We also have the specific Facebook pixel installed on our website which operates the same way as a normal tracking pixel. It is used to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ad campaigns. Likewise, without any interference and intervention for your device.

8.5 Google Analytics

Hockey Coach Vision Apps and Website both use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses the so-called “cookies”. The information about your use of this website generated by cookies is usually forwarded to and saved on a Google server in the USA. However, due to activating IP anonymization on this website, your IP address is shortened beforehand by Google in member states of the European Union or other states which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address forwarded to a Google server in the USA, and shortened there. On behalf of the providers of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about the website activities and supply other services related to the website use and internet use to the website provider.

The IP address transferred from your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. You can prevent the cookies from being saved by the relevant settings of your browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case, it may not be possible to fully use all functions of this website.

You can prevent Google from collecting cookie-generated data about your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing these data, if you download and install the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). 8.6 Google AdWords

To draw attention to our services, we place advertisements in Google AdWords. They are inserted according to search queries in Google Services. On the page with our contact forms, cookies are used to register how many users found us thanks to one of our advertisements. We can optimize our advertisements thanks to the anonymous statistics acquired in this way. Cookies are saved by Google when the advertisement is clicked on and can be prevented by the settings of your browser. In this case, your visit to our website is not included in the anonymous user statistics. You can find more information in Google website statistics.

8.7 Google Tag Manager

We would like to point out that we use Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data. Tag Manager simplifies our integration and management of tags. Tags are small code components which are used for, among other things, measuring traffic and visitor behavior, identifying the effects of online advertisement and social channels, setting up remarketing and organizing target groups, as well as testing and optimizing the websites. We only use Google Analytics, DoubleClick and HubSpot. If you have performed deactivation, Google Tag Manager will take this deactivation into account. 8.8 Facebook Custom Audience

Custom Audiences, a product of Facebook (Facebook Custom Audiences 1601 S. California Avenue, Palo https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.htmAlto, CA, 94304), is also used within the framework of use-based online advertisement.

In principle, a non-reversible and non-personal hash total (hash value) from your use data is generated in the process, which can be transferred to Facebook for analysis and marketing purposes. A Facebook tracking pixel is also set up on our website to this end. Information about your activities on the website (e.g. surfing behavior, sub-pages visited, etc.) is collected in the process.

8.9 Microsoft Azure

We use Microsoft Azure Servers and Services for storing our services and your personal data.

Microsoft Azure services are developed using the Microsoft Secure Development Lifecycle which incorporates privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default methodologies. Azure and related tools can help you comply with GDPR data protection requirements by providing ways to secure/encrypt personal data at rest and in transit, detect and respond to data breaches, and facilitate regular testing of security measures.

9. Third Party Data Transfer

In principle, your data are not transferred to third parties, unless we have a legal obligation to do so, or forwarding data is necessary for the performance of the contractual relationship, or you have given us express prior consent to forward your data. External service providers and partner companies, such as online payment providers or shipping companies commissioned with the delivery, receive your data only if it is required for the execution of your order. But in these cases, the scope of the transferred data is limited to the necessary minimum. If our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we guarantee that they observe the regulations of data protection law in the same way. Please also note the relevant data protection policies of the providers.

The relevant service provider is responsible for the content of third-party services, whereby we perform reasonable checks to find out if the service complies with the statutory requirements.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies.

We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

14. Data Controller

CoachVision GmbH processes Personal Data both as a Processor and as a Controller, as defined in the Directive and the GDPR.

The CoachVision GmbH entity which you as a User entered into an agreement with when using our website and apps, will be the Controller for the User data, as outlined above in previous sections.

15. Where is your personal data stored

CoachVision GmbH adheres to the Directive of 1995 and GDPR from May 25th, 2018 Consequently. All your data is stored on our Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Servers and Services.

16. GDPR Rights

Based on the legal regulations in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you may contact us free of charge with questions about the collection, processing and use of your personal data and their correcting, blocking or deleting, or revoking the consent given.

At any given time, you will have the following rights regarding your personal data processed by us. Please note, other than your right to object to us using your information for direct marketing (and profiling for the purposes of direct marketing), your rights are not absolute in case of other applicable laws.

  • The right to information: you have the right to be provided with information on the identity of the personal data controller, on the reasons for processing your personal data and other relevant information necessary to ensure the correct and transparent processing of your personal data.
  • The right of access: you have the right to make a request for details of your personal data and a copy of that personal data.
  • The right of rectification: you have the right to have inaccurate data about you corrected or removed without undue delay.
  • The right of erasure (“right to be forgotten”): you have the right to have certain personal data about you deleted from our records. If your requests to delete your personal data violate our legal or regulatory obligations, or the data related to the request for deletion are necessary to exercise or defend our legal claims, we may not be able to act upon your request and we will notify you of this decision.
  • The right to restriction of processing: you have the right to ask us to restrict the use of your personal data.
  • The right to data portability: you have the right to ask us to transfer the personal data you have given us to you or to someone else in a format that can be read by computer.
  • The right to object: you have the right to object to us processing (including profiling) your personal data in cases where our processing is based on a task carried out in the public interest or where we have let you know it is necessary to process your data for our or a third party’s legitimate interests. Your request will be reviewed and answered within one calendar month from receipt, in accordance with the GDPR. If we receive a large number of requests, or particularly complex requests, the deadline can be extended by a maximum of another two months. In certain circumstances as prescribed by data protection law (i.e. excessive requests), we might refuse to act upon your request.

As a rule, you can exercise your rights for free. However, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee if your requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive nature.

We pay the utmost attention to the confidentiality of all personal data and reserve the right to verify your identity if you submit a request for personal data to avoid a potentially undesirable situation for another person to illegally exercise a right on your behalf.

17. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your HCV account, you can do so from the Settings Menu within any of our HCV apps. After the account deletion, you will be logged out of the application and will not be able to use your account anymore. However, for security reasons, your data will stay on our servers for 90 days, until we delete it completely. 

You will still stay subscribed to our Newsletter until you unsubscribe from it, which you can do at the bottom of each Newsletter we send out.
