Back to free drills

Description

The counter-attack starts when defending D recover the puck and pass it up or a goal is scored and the Coach gives the next line a new puck. D-men should keep their feet moving all the time adjusting their gap.

Key points

Red players backcheck hard to the defensive zone. Good communication between forwards and Defensemen to sort out D coverage. Attack the net on the rush and drive for rebounds. Variation: When back checkers reach their defensive blue line, C1 throws them a new puck and they attack back 3v2 against the original 2 D.
